Created in Cairo, Egypt, in the 11th century CE. The oldest complete codex of the Tiberian mesorah that has survived intact until this day, it serves as the basis for many modern versions of the Hebrew Scriptures, such as the Biblia Hebraica and Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, as well as numerous translations.
