Machpeila House residents to be expelled?
Defense Ministry has given the Jews living in Machpeila House - which overlooks the Machpeila Cave parking lot - until 3:00 pm to prove their ownership of the house, or the army will expel them.
This is despite a request from Prime Minister Netanyahu to delay the expulsion until after Pesach (Passover) in order to give the residents time to prove their ownership.
The Mayor of Hebron claims that the purchase documents are forged because - get this - the ‘Palestinian Authority’ had already arrested the previous owner and the ‘Palestinian’ who acted as a ‘straw man’ for the Jewish residents before they entered the abandoned house!
A spokesman for the residents (I’d like to say Shlomo Levinger, but I might be wrong) told Israel Radio’s mid-day news magazine that the residents have already proven title and that the eviction order is based solely upon ‘endangering security.’ The spokesman argued that having the previously abandoned house in Jewish hands would only increase security, because the house overlooks the central parking lot for the Machpeila Cave.
One of the spokesman for the residents quipped to Israel Radio that if IDF soldiers are actually sent in to expel the residents from the house, they should be given t-shirts of Defense Minister Ehud Barak’s Atzmaut (Independence) party, since expelling the Jews would serve solely to endear that party in the eyes of Leftist voters.via: IsraelMatzav
ϟ Jewish Population In Yesha Set to Pass 350,000 in 2012
The Jewish population in Judea and Samaria soared to 342,414 last year, a yearly increase of 4.3 percent, and the 350,000 figure is all but certain to be passed this year.
The numbers, stated by the Interior Ministry and reported by the Hebrew-language Yisrael HaYom newspaper, are higher than the 300,000 estimate used by most mainstream news agencies.
There are also an estimated 250,000-300,000 Jews in Jerusalem neighborhoods that are claimed by the Palestinian Authority for its desired new country within Israel’s borders.
Population figures are less precise for the Arab population in Judea and Samaria and areas in Jerusalem that the Palestinian Authority claims. Using the Palestinian Authority estimate of 2.4 million, a number that may be largely inflated, Jews now make up approximately 22 percent of the total population.
The actual percentage may be substantially higher because the World Bank and American-Israeli Demographic Research Group identified a 32 percent discrepancy between first-grade enrollment statistics documented by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, according to Wikipedia.
The true figure may be only slightly over 1.6 million Arabs, which would raise the Jewish percentage to closer to 25 percent.
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has said that a PA state would be devoid of Jews. The Arab population of areas in the capital and in Judea and Samaria is estimated at 2.4 million. The presence of 650,000 Jews represents approximately 22 percent of the total population.
The figures for the Jewish population do not include thousands of students from urban centers who are learning in high schools and post-high school institutions in the region.

ϟ PA Arab Terrorists Attack Motorists in Samaria
PA terrorists attacked Israeli motorists Sunday morning in Samaria with rocks and firebombs (Molotov cocktails).
On Sunday morning, two such attacks resulted in injuries to two people traveling on roads in Samaria.
In one attack, Arab rioters hurled sharp-edged rocks at vehicles with Israeli license plates as they passed near the Tzufim checkpoint. One passenger was physically injured and received treatment at the scene by rescue workers.
IDF troops immediately set out to search for the attackers.
In the second incident, Arabs near the village of Azzoun hurled a firebomb (Molotov cocktail) at a vehicle with Israeli license plates. The driver was wounded in this second attack as well. He received first aid at the scene from IDF soldiers, while additional troops searched for the attackers.
Attacks by PA Arabs hurling grapefruit-sized rocks and firebombs have often caused serious injury and damage.
In some cases, the attacks have actually succeeded in causing the deaths they clearly intended by smashing the windshield and causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Rock attacks have become more frequent in recent months, noted Kiryat Arba Council head Malachi Levinger in September, and “pose a threat to human life.”
The most recent such case involved the murder of Asher Palmer and his baby son Yehonatan in September on Highway 60 near Hevron, in Judea.
A similar rock attack had occurred just a week prior, when an Arab in a taxicab hurled a four pound rock at a passing Israeli vehicle. The rock landed on the road several inches ahead of the car.

ϟ Israel accepts Quartet peace plan, urges Palestinians to follow suit
TEL AVIV (STAFF & WIRE REPORTS) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his eight senior cabinet ministers decided Sunday to support the Middle East Quartet’s plan for renewing Israeli-Palestinian negotiations within a month without preconditions.
“Israel welcomes the Quartet’s call for direct negotiations between the parties without preconditions,” Netanyahu’s bureau said in a statement.
The statement added that Israel has a few concerns about the Quartet’s plan which it will bring up during the negotiations.
“Israel calls on the Palestinian Authority to do the same and to enter into direct negotiations without delay,” the statement said.
